I need support

Combat2Coffee appoints four new Non-Executive Directors

We are delighted to announce the appointment of four new Non-Executive Directors who bring a wealth of experience across finance, retail, social housing, law, governance and social impact.

We welcome Wendy Evans-Hendrick, Clare Jackson, Julie Cuthbert and Paul Griffiths. Collectively, their expertise will strengthen our organisation as we continue to grow our mission-led model supporting the armed forces community and their families with their mental health and wellbeing.

Wendy brings a strong background in social housing, having dedicated her career to championing community wellbeing through housing and social impact. She joined Orwell Housing Association in 1994 and has since held a range of senior leadership roles, culminating in her appointment as Chief Executive in 2018.

Wendy shared:

I was inspired to join Combat2Coffee’s Board by the organisation’s powerful mission to use coffee as a catalyst for connection, conversation, and early mental health support.

I hold a deep belief in the power of early intervention and inclusive spaces to support mental health and resilience—values that sit at the heart of Combat2Coffee’s work.

I’m proud to support an organisation that turns something as simple as a cup of coffee into a powerful tool for change.

Clare adds strong commercial and brand experience, having co-founded Slate, an award-winning artisan cheese retailer with both physical and online operations, alongside a deep passion for food, drink, and customer experience.

Clare commented:

I am excited to join Combat2Coffee to explore the world of coffee and to help maximise the development of the company’s brand and customer experience in support of its valuable outreach work.

Julie contributes over 25 years of legal expertise across commercial, intellectual property, and employment law and now works as a practicing sculptor, bringing a unique and creative perspective to the Board.

Julie reflected:

I am inspired by Combat2Coffee’s sustainable approach to supporting ex-service people and I am keen to play an active role in the organisation’s development.

Paul adds senior investment leadership experience gained across global financial institutions, alongside a strong commitment to innovation and talent development.

Paul said:

I was introduced to Combat2Coffee in late 2024, initially advising the business on its financial structure.

I’ve since been inspired by its purpose, people and sustainable model, and I’m delighted to continue supporting the organisation as it grows.

Our CEO and Founder, Nigel added:

We are incredibly proud to welcome Wendy, Clare, Julie, and Paul to the Board.

Each brings valuable expertise, fresh perspective and a shared belief in what Combat2Coffee stands for.

Their support will be instrumental as we continue to develop our impact and reach more members of the veteran community in need.

These new Non-Executive Directors join Chairman Will Anderson and Paul Botterill, both of whom have served on the Board since October 2023. Together, the Board will continue to support our growth and mission to change lives one sip at a time.

We look forward to working closely with our new Non-Executive Directors as we enter this exciting next chapter for Combat2Coffee.
